If you're visiting Boston for the first time or the hundredth time, a a little bit of inspiration can keep the whole family entertained. Check out my favorite list of things to do around the city!

Lions, tigers, and bears!

Kids love animals, and there are two great zoos you can take them to! To the north of the city there is the Stoneham Zoo, and to the south side there is the famous Franklin Park zoo. Both zoos feature rotating themes and decorations. You can also often find a festival to really light up the nights.

Explore the city

When I visit the city, I always like to start or end my adventure with a classic Italian meal in the North End. Endless options from pizza to pasta means there are for everyone to enjoy. Make sure to pick up a cannoli at both Mike's Pastry and Modern pastry, and have a taste test to select your favorite! Keep following the brick sidewalks and you can journey over to the harbor all the way down to the Aquarium, or stay centered and walk down the Greenway and explore pop up shops, food trucks, art installations, and plenty of green space to run and play. (Be sure to stop at the carousel!)

Museums

Boston's museum game is top notch. You can keep the kid's minds entertained with hand on learning options like the Children's Museum, the Museum of Science (hint: you can catch the Duck Tours from here!), or the Aquarium. Or you can explore the art world and check out the beautiful Museum of Fine Arts, or solve the mystery at the Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum. History buffs will also love to check out the Boston Tea Party Museum or the USS Constitution!

Check out a some sports!

Boston, also nicknamed as Title Town, is home to 3 sports teams right inside the city. Get the kids outside in the beautiful summer weather for a baseball game with the Red Sox at Fenway Park, or if your in town in the fall or winter make sure to check out the TD Garden for some hockey or basketball with the Bruins and Celtics. If you pick the right weekend, you might even be able do a triple header! Score!

Family Photo Session

While your adventuring around taking lots of photos on your phone, it's easy to forget that you should be in them too! A great way to document your visit, book a photo session and feature some of Boston's best landmarks. You'll have better quality photos to share in your home, and you can prove to everyone that you were there too!
